Handmade candle holder – Workshop piece

Thank you for welcoming into your home a handmade candle holder shaped in our Brussels workshop.

Each handmade candle holder is shaped by hand, slowly, layer after layer, to obtain a soft, satiny and durable material. You are holding a creation made with precision, designed to give off a warm and natural light.

Your handmade candle holder: a creation made to last

Wax is a living material. It reacts to light, heat and its environment. To preserve your handmade candle holder for a long time, a few simple steps are enough. They ensure a stable light and prevent overheating.

Essential tips to protect it

  • Keep it at least 75 cm away from heat sources (stove, radiator, fireplace).
  • Avoid direct sunlight, especially behind a south-facing window or in a veranda.
  • With an LED: no special precautions.
  • With a tealight: use a good-quality candle, well centred, with a heat shield at the bottom.

Why soot marks may appear?

If a slight black mark appears, it never comes from the handmade candle holder itself: it comes solely from the tealight.

In the vast majority of cases, this happens when the candle is not perfectly centred. The flame then gets closer to a wall and leaves a mark.

To avoid this: use a stable tealight, avoid draughts, and stop if the flame touches a wall.
